City of Inverness issued the following announcement on Jan. 29.
The City of Inverness and Citrus County Schools welcomed Sister City visitors from Inverness, Scotland Wildcats Football Team.
Our friends from Scotland toured the new Depot with Mayor Bob Plaisted and City Councilmembers Cabot McBride,Linda Bega,Ken Hinkle , Jacquie Hepfer and Dave Ryan. Our visitors then visited an American elementary school and high school. This is the second year we have received visitors from Scotland and look forward to visits in the years to come.
These young men volunteer their time to coach youth. All are honored in their home towns with a trip to the United States which includes the City of Inverness.
