Citrus County issued the following announcement on Aug. 12.
Citrus County will be opening self-serve sandbag sites on Friday, August 13, at 8:00 a.m. The sites will remain open until further notice.
The locations are as follows:
Bicentennial Park, 501 North Baseball Point, Crystal River
Homosassa Area Regional Park (tennis court parking lot), 4210 South Grandmarch Ave., Homosassa
Sand, bags, and a few shovels will be available at each site.
