City of Marco Island issued the following announcement on Sept. 7.
Marco Island’s annual road resurfacing project will resume on Monday, September 13, 2021, weather permitting. Two maps are attached showing the streets to be paved. All streets in group 10 will be completed. Most streets in Group 7 were paved in August, but those that were not completed due to weather will now be milled and paved this month. A total of 9.16 miles of roadway will be resurfaced this year. The project is expected to be completed by October 30, 2021.
Local “Work Zone” signage will be posted and flaggers will direct traffic. Please watch for workers and drive with caution. Mail and trash collection will not be impacted during this project.
