Repairs coming to Dampier Street in downtown Inverness

City of Inverness recently issued the following announcement.

The City of Inverness Public Works Department is beginning work on Monday, October 18, 2021, to portions of West Dampier Street in downtown Inverness.  West Dampier Street and intersecting streets will be closed to through traffic for removal and reconstruction of brick crosswalks.  The repair will require overnight closure of specific intersections listed below.  

 On October 18 - 19, 2021, West Dampier Street will be closed at North Seminole Avenue and North Pine Avenue. Sections of Dampier West of Pine Avenue and North Apopka Avenue will be closed to through traffic.  Apopka Avenue will close north of West Dampier Street with a portion of North Apopka Avenue closed South of Zephyr Street closed to through traffic. The following roads will be used for detours during construction North Seminole Avenue: Tompkins Street, Zephyr Street, North Pine Avenue and MLK Avenue.

October 19 – 21, 2021, West Dampier Street will be closed at North Pine Avenue. The section of West Dampier between North Seminole and North Pine Avenue will be closed to through traffic.  North Apopka Avenue South of West Dampier will be closed.  North Apopka Avenue will be closed to through traffic north of Courthouse Square. The following roads will be used for detours during construction North Seminole Avenue, Tompkins Street, Zephyr Street, North Pine Avenue, North Apopka Avenue and MLK Avenue.
