Citrus sheriff

Citrus County Sheriff's Office issued the following announcement on Oct. 20.

Do you have expired or unused medications sitting in your medicine cabinet? Don't wait and let them get into the wrong hands!

The Citrus County Sheriff’s Office, in partnership with the Anti-Drug Coalition of Citrus County and Citrus Memorial Hospital will be participating in the Drug Enforcement Administration - DEA’s National Prescription Drug Take Back Day THIS SATURDAY - October 23, 2021.

Join us at one of our 3 convenient locations (listed below) from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

CCSO Operations Center - 1 Dr Martin Luther King Jr Ave, Inverness, FL 34452

Beverly Hills substation - 4093 N Lecanto Hwy, Beverly Hills, FL 34465

Crystal River substation - 123 NW Hwy 19, Crystal River, FL 34428

We will provide you with a safe, convenient, and responsible means of disposing of your prescription medications.

Turn in any medications, NO questions asked. (We will not accept needles or aerosols.) You can also dispose of pet medications during this event!

Together, we can help keep our county safe and reduce the abuse of prescription medication.
