SF’s Model UN Team Shows Well in Competition

Santa Fe College issued the following announcement on Oct. 22.

Last weekend, Santa Fe College hosted the 16th Annual Florida Model United Nations and competed against teams from Nova Southeastern University, College of Central Florida, 

Hillsborough Community College and Tallahassee Community College. Even though SF fielded a much smaller team than usual this year, everyone brought their A-Game. SF took 

awards for the following:

Best Position Paper: USA in General Assembly

Outstanding Delegate: China in Security Council and WHO

Honorable Delegation: China and Egypt

Outstanding Delegation: USA

Congratulations to SF delegates Angela Matos, Connor Nugent, Conor Ruffin, Dani Rudolph, Donato Marrone Vargas, Elle Chaffee, Grant Gibson, Josh Spence-Lehmann, Maria 

Marcona, Nick Rose and Puja Ahir.

Special thanks to former SF students Abigail Dumonceau, Matthew Pearson and Parker Heavens for their hard work and dedication to making this conference happen.
