Citrus County Chamber of Commerce recently issued the following announcement.
Gerry Mulligan, recently retired as publisher of the Citrus County Chronicle after 43 years, has influenced our community in many positive ways through the years. He led the
conversion from a weekly newspaper to a seven-day daily in the 1980s. He has been heavily involved in the community for decades. He helped create the United Way in 1986 and
served as president of the chamber of commerce and the Crystal River Rotary Club. He served as chairman of the Citrus County YMCA for eleven years and co-chaired the capital
campaign that raised $8.3 million to build the YMCA in Lecanto.
We are grateful to have a community leader such as Gerry and invite you to join us for the parade tomorrow beginning at Noon on HWY 44 in Inverness!
