Santa Fe College recently issued the following announcement.
Santa Fe College is excited to announce another voluntary COVID-19 vaccine incentive program, similar to the highly successful one in Fall 2021 when over 2700 people participated. See below for the different processes in place for students and employees to verify status and to sign up for the incentive.
See sfcollege.edu/covid19/incentive for updates. Free vaccines are available at local pharmacies, Publix, and the local Health Department; vaccine events are also held periodically at the College. In fact, over 125 people received vaccinations at the two vaccine events held at SF earlier this month. The college will soon be announcing details on additional vaccine clinics at SF in February and March.
Students
Current SF students can get a one-time non-recurring $60 if they received the final shot of their full allotment of COVID-19 vaccine (second shot of Pfizer or Moderna or single shot of Johnson & Johnson) or a booster between November 1, 2021, and March 20, 2022. Beginning February 7, students can visit a designated physical location to sign up for the incentive and have their vaccination or booster status verified in person. During the week of March 21– 25 only, eligible students who wish to participate can use a Zoom room or a designated physical location to sign up for the incentive and have their vaccination or booster status verified in person. Additional messaging will be forthcoming to let students know how to join the Zoom Room and where to go for in-person verification (bring your vaccination card/paper). For now, just get your shots, mark your calendar, and watch for more messaging!
Once vaccination status is confirmed, students will receive the $60 through BankMobile (as applicable) via their payment method preference set up in eSantaFe. Payments will be viewable on students’ My FA Status by April 22, 2022. If students don’t have a BankMobile account, they will receive a check in the mail. Checks will be sent after April 22. In addition, all those who receive the financial incentive will be eligible to receive additional rewards through a random drawing. Participating students will be entered to have an opportunity to receive a bookstore voucher or a tuition scholarship (more details to come).
Employees
SF employees can get a one-time non-recurring $60 (less taxes) if they have had their final shot of their full allotment of COVID-19 vaccine (second shot of Pfizer or Moderna or single shot of Johnson & Johnson) or a booster between November 1, 2021, and March 20, 2022. Beginning February 7, SF employees may contact Human Resources at human.resources@sfcollege.edu to arrange an in-person or virtual (Teams or Zoom) appointment to verify vaccination status (you must present your vaccine card or paper for viewing). March 25 is the final deadline for verification.
Upon confirmation, employees will receive the $60 incentive, less any applicable taxes, in their April 15 payroll. As part of a random drawing, verified employees will also be eligible to receive a bookstore voucher (more details to come).
