Information Technology Services Promote Haddock, Fann to Leadership Positions

Sf

Santa Fe College recently issued the following announcement.

Santa Fe College’s Information Technology Services (ITS) has promoted Betty Haddock and Ulysses Fann to leadership positions within ITS for their expertise and increased duties at the college.

Last year, ITS added Canvas Help to its array of services including Help Desk and now addresses technical issues for both students and staff. To streamline and consolidate the college’s information technology and to support the overall college community, ITS will also add the Contact Center. Now, all three services – Canvas Helpdesk, ITS Helpdesk and the Contact Center will work together under the leadership of Betty Haddock as the Helpdesk Manager.

“Betty brings many years of supervisory experience as well as a keen sense of technology and modern call center/helpdesk practices,” SF’s Chief Information Officer and AVS for IT Services Bill Penney said. “I have full confidence that Betty is up for the challenge, and believe this merger will have long lasting positive effects for our students, faculty, and staff.”

ITS also announced that Ulysses Fann is being promoted to Director of Technology Services. Fann picked up additional responsibilities after the retirement of Fred Evans. With his new title, Fann will continue to manage the Systems and Network group but will also now supervisor Desktop and Classroom Support.

“Ulysses has been an integral part of ITS for many years now and is always willing to go the extra mile to make sure the technology works well for our students and faculty,” Penney said. “I am grateful for the work he has done and can’t wait to see what he brings to this leadership role.”

Congratulations to both Betty and Ulysses.
