Celebrate Black History Month with Local Voices

Museum Presents Panel Discussion from Citrus County’s Black Community

The Old Courthouse Heritage Museum is proud to host a community panel discussion in celebration of Black History Month. The panel brings together long-time residents of Citrus 

County and pillars of the community, to discuss their lived experiences in their own words. Please join us for event on Saturday, February 26, 2022, from 6:00pm-8:00pm at the Old 

Courthouse Heritage Museum, located at 1 Courthouse Square, Inverness, FL 34450.

The event will feature four panelists: Mr. Bailey Wise, Ray Joyner, Alida Langley, and Mable Sims Halloway, with Donna Lucas of the Afro-American Club of Citrus County 

moderating. These pillars of the Citrus County Black Community will share their experiences, personal stories, and recollections of their lives in Florida.

This community panel discussion is free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be served. Guests can join in-person at the museum or watch from the comfort of home on
