The college community is invited to join Santa Fe College Vice President for Student Affairs, Dr. Naima Brown, at the Hippodrome Monday, May 16, at 5:30 p.m. for a free screening of the documentary “The Invisible Vegan”.
This 90-minute film offers both historical and contemporary perspectives on dietary trends showing how the intertwined histories of slavery, twentieth-century socioeconomic inequalities, and the rise of Big Food have led to the increased consumption and dependence on meat, processed junk and fast food affecting the health of the Black community.
