The Citrus County Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) has issued a local state of emergency in preparation for Hurricane Ian. No closures have been announced at this time.
In preparation for Tropical Storm Ian, two Citrus County sandbag sites will open starting Monday, September 26, 2022, at 8:00am:
- 4210 S Grandmarch Ave, Homosassa (Off of Grover Cleveland Blvd)
***Limit 12 bags per Vehicle***
- 7500 W Gulf to Lake Hwy, Crystal River (SR44, across from Dan’s Clam Stand)
***Limit 12 bags per vehicle***
