The next Citrus County Board of County Commissioners’ Citizens Academy is scheduled to begin on Thursday, February 23, 2023, and now is the time to apply. If you would like an up-close and personal look at Citrus County government... then this is the class for you!
Citrus County Citizens Academy is a free, interactive program that focuses on educating citizens about the County’s governmental operations. It is designed to educate citizens about the departments that implement the policy of the commission and to give residents a hands-on, inside look at what, how and why the county's departments do what they do. Elected officials, department directors and other county staff will host unique and informative sessions designed to give citizens hands-on experience in county government operations.
