Citrus County Sheriff's Office recently issued the following announcement.
Although it may be the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles' (FLHSMV) initiative, we would like to remind everyone that the 'Move Over' campaign is active each and every day; No exceptions!
As if protecting your fellow community members weren't enough, protect yourself, your vehicle, your auto insurance costs, and your driving record! Did you know that violating the 'Move Over' law in Florida will incur a fine of $120! You will also incur three points on your driving record. It doesn't stop there either; these penalties may fluctuate based on your prior driving record, points, and if any damage occurred as a result of your failure to move over.
Do the right thing - take care of each other. By doing so, you take care of yourself too!
